The Summer Palace

The Summer Palace is the largest best preserved inperial garden in China. YiHe Yuan as the Chinese call it stands for the Gardon of Natural Harmony. The great palace is located in western Beijing, the capital of china. Just 15 km from the center of Beijing. Summer Palace became a summer residence for chinas inparial ruler. The Summer Palace is realy a meusem of traditional chinese gardening arts using items such as rocks, plants, pavillians, and cobble paths. Each area in the palace will recover a different scene each verry beautiful.

The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall is one of the seven wonders of the world. Symbolysing the teracity and will of the Chinese people, is now part of Chinese mythology and symolysm.
The Great Wall is located in Beijing stretching 8851.8 kilometers long, it is over 2,000 years old, and its width witch verys in different places can stretch from 15 to 30 feet wide.. Hte idea came to Quin Shi Huangdi, the first emperor of china during the Qin Ch'in dynasty of 221B.C- 206 B.C. It was built by Armies, locals, and many prisoners. Solders were happy to help with the big project but criminals were forced into labor as punishment.Manny people died durring the building of the wall, there bodies were thrown into the struckture of the wall. Traditionaly known as "Long Wall of Ten Thousand Li" the wall was built to ward off invations of the Celestial Empire. Believe it or not you can see the great wall of china with the naked eye from space!

The Forbidden City
It took 14 years to build the Forbidden City. They started in 1406. One million workers were needed to complete the city, the former home of the emporors. As soon as the monument was complete no one was let inside its walls. It was almost imposible for people to break in, the walls even though made of sticky rice and egg whites were tall and were surrounded by a moat. It took 3.1 million blocks to complete the beautiful Forbidden City we see today, it contains 9,999 rooms total.Gu Gong as called in chinese, lyes in the center of Beijing. The Forbidden City is the largest palace complex in the world. The distance between the two gates of the city is 960 meters. The north gate called the Gate of Devine Might.

The National Stadium


The National Stadium is a giant sports arena built to prepare the 2008 olympics.It is located in Beijing on the olympic green. Holding the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 olympics, football, and athletics for the olypic games.The stadium is the worlds largest steel structure, made with 26km of unsrapped steel used. Designed by Herzog and de Meuron in 2004, the stadium was finished around 2007. The stadium has a volume of 3 million cubic metres and is considers the world largest enclosed space of all time.
